The all knowing.

You can please some of the people all of the time and you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time.

It seems to me that too many people have all of the answers. The one thing they don't seem to know is that they are correct only to them. It is easy to be critical without knowledge. I think this is why the expectations of the people have become to high. With high expectations comes a high price. And these days no one wants to pay for anything.

Those that serve.

A friend is about to start a tour of duty in Afghanistan. He is one that answered the call after 9/11. If you don't know of the call of which I speak then you are incapable of hearing it. His training has been rigorous and long and he will do his job well. It would be hard to find a bigger man.

"Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying who shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, here am I, send me."

Godspeed to you and your crew.

This country is worth dying for.

Enough said? Not these days. A certain protester in Crawford, Texas has said "This country is not worth dying for." I understand she is protesting the loss of her son in Iraq, but this statement could not be further from the truth. I wonder if she thinks about the countless who have died for this country so that she can protest and say such things. I wonder if those who protest with her and handle her in front of the media think of the sacrifices made for the right to free speech and a free press.

I am sick of people saying "The war in Iraq is not about terrorism. It's about lies and big corporations." Bullshit. As of 9/11 everything is about terrorism. Two groups of people emerged from that day. Those willing to get their hands dirty and those who became afraid of their own shadow. Bowing to the will and opinion of the rest of the world will not end terrorism. Fighting will. I hope those willing to bow never out number those willing to fight.

I have had people tell me "You have no right to be pro-war if you never served in the military." I am not pro-war. I am anti-backing down. If you get pushed and don't push back the pushing gets worse and more frequent. I have the right to be pro or anti anything because of those who died so that I could have that right.

This Country might not be perfect, but it is worth dying for. And to those that already made the sacrifice, you are not forgotten.

What is a SnapperHead?

A SnapperHead is someone whose head has snapped shut. This encloses their brain in their thick skull and does not allow thoughts to flow to or from their brain. At least that is my definition and the one that will be used here. My Blog. My definition.

I am often ticked off when I hear or read news where someone says something that can only be said by a person who is void of thought. Not stupid, but rather a person who did not open their mind and process the information given them. They form an opinion based on something other than reasonable thought. SnapperHead.

Normally the person is a liberal democrat talking about gun control, the Second (and most important) amendment, the military, war, freedom, taxes and a variety of other things. I said normally, but not always. There are plenty of conservative republican SnapperHeads too. There are plenty of SnapperHeads Period. When I run across one I am going to post it here for the world to see.
