Ok. Listen. Presidents DO NOT cause hurricanes. For those who wish to elevate the President to the title of Mother Nature, now you have to give him credit for the sun coming up in the morning. Or, blame him for it when it is shining in you eyes on the way to work in the morning.

To think for a moment that us puny human beings are even capable of any long term change in the way this planet works has achieved the highest plane of arrogance. We couldnt destroy this planet long term if we wanted to. I suppose the only way to make an argument that the U.S. is responsible in some way for the serverity of Katrina is to suggest our CO2 output has caused "global warming" and therefore an increase in severe storms. What about Camille? Were we still to blame in 1969?
Fact: the world will keep on turning, and climate change is as natural as the sun coming up in the morning.
Fact: The so called "Global Warming" phenomenon is based on bad science. There is no proof, only speculation. I suggest the hole in the ozone has always been there and warming cylcles have been going on for millenia.
As human beings we are too insignificant to alter the weather folks.. we are too small to make any long term impact at all. Eventually nature wins. Get over it.
